Sold! DXD Capital snaps up 7-property portfolio in Colorado

DXD Capital, a New Mexico self-storage private equity firm, purchased the Hill & Homes Self-Storage portfolio in Colorado’s western slope. The portfolio has 135,050 square feet across seven buildings, which house 922 units. Thomas Parsons, first vice president of investments, and Adam Schlosser, senior managing director of the Denver-based LeClaire-Schlosser Group of Marcus & Millichap, represented the seller and found the buyer.

Marcus & Millichap

Marcus & Millichap announced the sale of Cherry Storage, a 71,139-square-foot facility in Saint Joseph, MO, about 48 miles north of Kansas City. The facility has 696 climate-controlled units in a historic and renovated building in downtown Saint Joseph. Nathan Coe, Brett R. Hatcher and Gabriel Cox had the listing on behalf of the seller, an LLC. David Saverin, Missouri broker of record, helped close the transaction.  

Marcus & Millichap announced the sale of R Self Storage (below), a 33,299-square-foot facility in Sandusky, OH. Nathan Coe, Brett R. Hatcher and Gabriel Coe had the listing for the seller, an LLC. The facility was built in 1951 and was expanded in 2019. It has 46 climate-controlled units, 155 non-climate-controlled units plus two commercial spaces. The site sits on 4.17 acres.

Marcus & Millichap announced the sale of Budget Storage, a 56,750-square-foot facility spread across 349 climate-controlled units, plus four outdoor parking spaces, in Wilmington, NC. Nathan Coe, Brett R. Hatcher and Gabriel Coe had the listing on behalf of the seller, an LLC. Ben Yelm, North Carolina broker of record, helped close the transaction. There is room for expansion.

The LeClaire-Schlosser Group of Marcus & Millichap announced the sale of DRD Mini Storage Portfolio, a two-property entity with 58,760 net rentable square feet in Kingfisher, OK. Dave Knobler and Charles LeClaire had the listing to market the portfolio on behalf of the seller, a Nevada LLC. They also found the buyer, a Delaware LLC. Steve Greer, associate regional manager in the company’s Baton Rouge, LA office, served as the Oklahoma broker of record. DRD has two facilities that are 1.25 miles from each other, and both are on Main Street. Kingfisher is about 30 minutes from Oklahoma City.

StorageMart

StorageMart purchased the former Peoples Mini Storage in Davenport, IA. The site, located at 575 E 53rd St, has 643 units and 72,750 square feet. It offers drive-up storage and climate-controlled units. StorageMart is the largest privately owned self-storage company globally.
